How to enjoy change
So change is coming into you life, huh? It's not the end of the world, really, no matter how awful it may seem at the time. Here are some ways to handle and enjoy change:
- Assess the situation. What is changing? Why?
- Open your mind. Think of all the possible outcomes of the change. Some are bad, but there are probably some good outcomes, as well.
- Be positive. Try to focus more on the good than the bad. The more you tune into the bad, the worse the experience will be.
- Be in touch with yourself. If you are not honest with yourself about emotional stress, it can pile up until there is a mass problem.
- Share your thoughts with someone close. They should try to understand what you are going through and be supportive.
- Embrace the change. No matter how difficult this is. Perhaps the change is happening for a reason? Perhaps it needed to happen?
- Try to have fun. See the good in the little things in life that make everything worthwhile. Then maybe you'll see that change really isn't quite so bad. You still may have everything you need surrounding you.
Tips
- Be positive.
- Have an open mind.
- Don't wallow in self pity.
- Love life and deal with all the little things that come with it - the good, bad and ugly.
